Militants blew up a government school for girls in Bara tehsil injuring four people on Sunday, November 1. According to official sources, the blast followed an earliest mortar attack on the house of the agency councillor’s house in Jamrud. The councillor escaped without injury. His residence was partially damaged.
The second explosion ripped through the 18-room government high school for girls in the Saipah area in which officials confirm four people were injured.
In recent years, militants have destroyed hundreds of schools, mostly for girls, in the country’s northwest. Nearly 200 of those were in the Swat valley.
