MAIDUGURI (Nigeria), July 31: Nigerian forces shot dead a leader of Islamic extremists who led an uprising that led to hundreds of deaths, sources report.
A senior police official said authorities killed the leader of a Nigerian Taliban group, Mohammed Yusuf, on Thursday after he tried to escape.
