It is unfortunate that such a high percentage of college students (more than 60 percent) admit to cheating today.
When I attended college -- more than 50 years ago -- students very rarely cheated, because they believed it was not worth being automatically expelled if they were caught cheating.
With such a large number of cheaters today, either colleges have eased the punishment for cheating, or college students have become much more audacious and deceitful.
The fact is that students who cheat in college are really cheating themselves, because once they leave college and begin working in society, they will be lacking the knowledge, expertise, and perseverance that they will need to succeed and to be promoted in the workforce.
