SANAA: Yemeni security forces killed 34 suspected Al-Qaeda militants and captured 17 in operations against the group on Thursday in the south and near the capital, a defence ministry official said.
The operations took place in the southern town of Abyan, as well as in the capital Sanaa and the neighbouring district of Arhab, the official said in a statement carried by the defence ministry-linked website 26sep.net. —AFP
