OSLO, Norway - President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples," the Norwegian Nobel Committee said, citing his outreach to the Muslim world and attempts to curb nuclear proliferation.

The irony! In February 2006, thousands of Muslim demonstrators set fire to Norwegian embassies, brunt Norwegian flags and attacked Norwegian troops in Afghanistan after a Norwegian newspaper published a cartoon of Prophet Mohammed wearing a bomb-shaped turban. (More here.)
It was a "Christian" newspaper and the editor apologized. Now the Nobel Peace Committee from it headquarters in Norway over-compensates! Europe might as well surrender to the jihadists. Will America be far behind?
