But he's deeply confused about theology and his views depend more on politics than is apparent.
One minute he'll defend the disabled, and then the next he'll promote dehydrating them to death because for Christians earthly life is not the highest good. You won't read that in his books, but you will hear it in his lectures. You will see in his books that AHN tubes are "medical treatment" rather than simply care.
Of course it is "permissible" to remove feeding tubes if someone is dying since we wouldn't force-feed someone with a tube anymore than we would with a spoon when the body is shutting down and can't use it. But Rae is terribly confused at best on the feeding tube issue if you know his real views so beware.
