Quote of the Week - Michael Ramsey
“Reason is an action of the mind; knowledge is a possession of the mind; but faith is an attitude of the person. It means you are prepared to stake yourself on something being so.”-- Michael Ramsey, 100th Archbishop of Canterbury.
1 comment:
As an attitude of a person, faith commands a strong feeling of an individual for believing in it.
Faith has a much greater effect of an individual than reason or knowledge, which only tend to scratch the surface of a person's mind.
In other words, faith is a metaphysical phenomenon that is more in-depth than reason and knowledge. Thus, faith transcends reason and knowledge.
