The Trinity in Christian theology -- that is, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit -- can be a difficult concept to understand, especially since the Father and the Son are sometimes considered to be one and the same; at other times, they are viewed as two distinct individuals.
This situation can be compared to the water we drink every day. At times, water is a liquid; at other times, it is a solid (that is, ice); still, at other times, it can be a gas.
I hope that this comparison will make it easier for people to better understand the Trinity.
