Quote of the Week - Basil the Great
“The dogmas of the Fathers are held in contempt, the Apostolic traditions are disdained, the churches are subject to the novelties of innovators.” --St. Basil the Great, Letter 90, To the Most Holy Brethren and Bishops Found in the West.
The dogmas of the Church Fathers have been "watered down" with new and revised dogmas to such a degree, that they have weakened the meaning of the original dogmas.

This statement is as true today as when St. Basil said it. I thought immediately of The Episcopal Church.
