Pope Shenouda, the Coptic Orthodox Christian Pope of Egypt, was trying to make a humorous point to the Egyptian press when he said that Islamic fundamentalists would have them for dinner.

I believe the point Pope Shenouda was trying to convey was that Egyptians need to constantly be on their guard when they are in the company of Islamic fundamentalists, because they are noted for attacking innocent people -- especially Christians.

That's it, George!

I was thinking just today that this same warning applies to false teachers in the Church. They will gobble up God's people until they are gorged. Every Christian denomination and jurisdiction has its share of false teachers.
