NEW YORK: BP Plc said on Tuesday it plans to sell company assets in Vietnam and Pakistan to help pay for the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
A spokesman for the British oil giant said the company has notified the governments of both countries about its plans.
Spokesman David Nicholas said BP would use proceeds from the sale of various facilities in those countries to help raise $20 billion for a Gulf spill relief fund.—AP
