"Such a God as This" reflects on the parallel lives of Joseph and Moses, both destined to leave lives of comfort and privilege, suffer physical hardships and servitude, marry women of high rank, and rise to leadership. Both were destined to save their people in the time of trouble.The destiny motif in these stories raises significant ethical questions about God’s dealing with those He has destined to lead.
