Consequently, Pakistan is trying to punish the U.S. by forcing it to evacuate a Pakistani air base.<br /><br />The straw that broke the camel's back with Pakistan was the fact that Osama bin Laden was living very close to Pakistan's capital for several years. The U.S. knows -- although it might not admit it publicly -- that the Pakistani government knew where Osama bin Laden was hiding for years. <br /><br />Conclusion: The U.S. no longer can trust Pakistan as a true ally.
